Basic Cremation Services

Many of the families we serve ask us to help them with a very basic cremation. Our Direct Cremation Package includes all the minimum basic functions to provide a cremation.

Those basic items include moving the person from the place of death, completing all legal permits and filings, and completing the cremation. Our discounted minimum direct cremation package is $1095. In addition to this package fee there are several variables that will increase the cost. The first is the container used for the actual cremation. The least expensive option is $95 and meets the minimum requirements of the crematory. The second item is the container that will be used to carry the ashes. Some families have a simple container at home they can provide or we have urns starting at $35.

Other variable items of cost are the certified copies of the death certificate that can be requested from the State of Oregon and the Oregon Death Certificate Filing Fee of $20. The State of Oregon Fee for the death certificates is $20 for the first copy and $15 for additional copies ordered. Some families choose to have a memorial service. We can assist in submitting obituaries to newspapers, provide memorial folders and register books, and even provide a gathering place for the service.
