May 8, 1952 - May 24, 2021
William (“Wild Bill”) McMillan died suddenly in the early morning hours of Monday, May 24th 2021 while on his way to work. He was 69 years old. Bill was well-known and well-loved in the Ashland community. He could often be seen walking throughout town between his multiple jobs at Southern Oregon University, Omar’s Restaurant, and Martino’s. A diligent and hard-working provider for his family, he worked 7 days a week without complaint. He always wore a smile, proven by the smile lines the years had creased into his face. People remember his positive energy, his joyful greetings (even if he got your name wrong), his passion for old TV shows and classic rock music, his pride in his family, and his consistent happiness. Bill is survived by his four children: Dan McMillan, Angelina Tejada-Ingram, Jimmy McMillan, and Charlie McMillan, his four grandchildren: Gwenivere McMillan, Opal Tejada-Ingram, Ira Tejada-Ingram, and Meredith McMillan, and the mother of his children and long-time spouse: Judith McMillan. Bill will be laid to rest at Mountain View Cemetery in Ashland across the street from the place he raised his four children. This final resting place will be alongside his beloved brother, Glenn McMillan, who preceded him in death. Please attend a celebration of life for Bill on Saturday, June 19th at 10:00 am at Emigrant Lake (area B) where we will remember the selfless, generous, caring, genuine, kind man who left us all far too soon.
